| Yep, today I meet Kate Elliott for the second time. We met in passing at Denvention and I feel already like I've known her a goodly while. We spent some pleasant time in email and on the phone while doing our guest blogs at Babel Clash and I really respect her approach to writing and her twin-wrangling experience. So today, we have our first road trip when I pick her up in Portland and we head north to Seattle.
I'll be on the road from today forward -- all stops noted on the website appearances page. I hope you'll come out and say "Hi." I'll also be at World Fantasy. I'm nearly finished with Antiphon revisions. I may wrap it up on the plane Wednesday or in the wee hours Thursday. It'll get turned in this week, though, and then I'll start bending my mind towards Requiem. I want to wrap the entire Psalms of Isaak by first quarter 2011. Considering all of the interruptions and distractions, pandemonium and madness, I'm feeling pretty good about the notion of writing a five volume series in a total of five years. (What you can't see is me knocking on wood.)
In other news, I'm realizing how much I'm going to miss Jen and the Wonder Twins. Sigh. I'll be gone for most of nine days. Still, it will be good to get out and be Writer Boy for a bit. And it will be good to see good friends.
Okay, off I go. Gotta get back to packing. |
Hope you have fun at World Fantasy (and so bummed I can't make it, would have loved to see you again).
