At Long Last! TIM MACHINE Contest Results! With Apologies!

Flying Ken
You'll recall that awhile ago, I posted a little bit of something I'd written a few years back called WAR OF THE WORDS and announced a contest.  Folks wrote approximately 200 word stories for the title THE TIM MACHINE.  We had three categories:  Best Story, Funniest Story and Most Likely to be Jay Lake in a Brilliant Disguise.

Then, of course, the Twins showed up and created a rift in the Space Time Continuum that largely took me out of the blog-o-sphere for a time.

The contest was judged by three distinguished writers:  maryrobinette , princessalethea  and jaylake .

The prize was an Advance Reading Copy of CANTICLE and in the Jay Lake Category, a bonus gift of GREEN from the man himself.

And drum roll please....

In the first category, Best Story, the winner is....

THE TIM MACHINE by cscole .

In the second category, Funniest Story, the winner is....

THE TIM MACHINE by goulo .

And in the third category, Most Likely to be Jay Lake in a Brilliant Disguise, the winner is...

THE TIM MACHINE by uglychicken .

There were a lot of great stories in the mix.  You can read MOST of the stories over here.   I believe cscole's  was received via email but perhaps she'll be kind enough to post it on her LJ...?

So...winners should email me their snail mail address along with the name they'd like their book personalized to.  Send those up to ken@kenscholes.com and I'll get these ARCs out in the mail.  The winner in the Jay Lake category will also receive a copy of his newest novel, GREEN.

Vast apologies for how long this took!  I think life is settling into enough of a routine that I can return to more regular blogging.  And my brain is less swiss-cheesy than it's been as I've gotten better at the Fine Art of Twin Juggling.

Congrats to the winners!! I am going to have to go back and read them.

I still look forward to the book. I will be purchasing it for our discussions over at Barnes N Nobles here next month. Look forward to it!

Tio estas bona surprizo! Mi ne supozis, ke noveleto kun Esperanto povus gajni. :) Koran dankon pro la premio de via libro "Canticle". Mi ĵus sendis privatan retpoŝton al vi kun mia adreso.

Huh. That's odd. This entry never showed up on my friends page. The one before and the one after are there, but not this one...
